I am a certified Yoga Teacher with The British Wheel of Yoga (BWY), The Society of Yoga Practitioners (TSYP) and the Krishnamacharya Healing Yoga Foundation (KHYF). I have been teaching at The Sanctuary since 2013.
Yoga is my passion. My aims are to share my knowledge and experience, to be inspired and to inspire others.
The yoga class is aimed for ages 50 and upwards, however anybody who wants to practice Yoga are welcome.
I offer a positive space for students to practice safely; students are given tools and options of poses to make their practice less or more intense and encouraged to experiment mindfully. There is emphasis on the breath throughout the physical practice (āsana) to prepare for breathing (prānāyama) and meditative practice.
The calm and tranquil atmosphere of The Sanctuary offers a unique environment to explore students’ relationship with themselves during and at the end of the session.
In class, key yoga teachings, philosophy, wisdom and inspiration from personal study are weaved in to deepen the understanding of yoga theory and practice.
